Please help.  I am having problems getting my downloaded maps to show up on Basecamp.  I just switched to a new computer.  On my old one I was able to download Basecamp, as well as selected maps, then the downloaded maps automatically showed up on the Basecamp pull down menu.  On this new computer I have downloaded Basecamp sucessfully as well as the desired map, but it doesn't show up on the Basecamp pull down menu.  I have tried manually copying the map folder to Basecamp as well as other map files associated with Basecamp to no avail.  Please tell me how I can get my maps to show up on Basecamp.

Thanks

Have you followed this tutorial?

If you haven't, install the maps per the tutorial.

What OS are you using?

Assuming Win7, if you have installed the maps per the tutorial and they still don't show try installing

It has been reported to fix things.

Both maps should be selectable in the drop down menu at the top left of the BaseCamp screen.

Thanks a lot for your help.  As you guessed I presently have Windows 7.  Interestingly, though with my old computer I had an older version of Windows and didn't have any problems.  In any case, I had to use the 2nd download you suggested.  The trail maps overlay did not show up well at all.  The only thing I could see was lines representing trails, but no other map info was showing, so I just had these trail lines on a blank page.  Then I tried to download the 3 maps I was interested in after deleting the first map I already had on my computer.  This worked and I now have what I need in Basecamp.  So, thankyou very much for your assistance.

That's the way it's supposed to work, unfortunately.  BaseCamp doesn't show more than one map at a time.  If you load both the trails and a topo onto your Garmin GPSr, you'll see the trails overlay the topo.
