I was recently given a Rino 530hcx and would like to know if there is any satellite imagery out there that works with Basecamp and the Rino 530hcx.  The Garmin tech told me that the Birdseye satellite imagery will not work with the Rino 530hcx.  Anyone know of anything that does or does the 530hcx just not support the satellite imagery?

You could try playing around with MOAGU and Mapwel. They both use clever hacks to convert raster imagery into the vector format your unit supports. There are a lot of limitations to this approach however. There's actually a tutorial on this site for using MOAGU (for USGS topo maps however): http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/tutorials/creating-multi-segment-raster-topo-maps-with-moagu/

MOAGU and Mapwell can be found here:

Boyd is right there, I was only referring to the BirdsEye that was mentioned in the OP as well as the raster Garmin Custom Maps.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a shot.  I've been playing around with GE with a topo overlay just to mark points and tracks to find my way into what I want to go see.  That gives me a visual that I can use when looking at my rino unit.  I'm mainly using this to identify areas of interest on a new piece of property I'm hunting.

Now I just have to get this thing unlocked from the web update!
