I have read the tutorials at GPSFileDepot pertaining to downloading maps and loading them on the GPS.  I have done this successfully but I have been having one problem.  I am only able to load one topo map at a time to the GPS.  I am loading the maps onto a 4GB card in the GPS.  If I try to load another map, the first one is no longer there.  Any ideas?

Yes, you want to select from one topo, then select from the second ibe then send both at the same time.

Double check that... I'm pretty sure if you combine multiple mapsets and send them to one of the new units like the Oregon 450, they will not work properly. I think they will be grouped together and can't be individually enabled disabled on the new units.

Every time you send a map with Mapsource, it is placed in the Garmin folder and named gmapsupp.img. You can change this name to [anything].img and it will work properly as long as it has the .img extension. After changing the name, send another map and repeat as often as desired.

I have an Oregon 450 with the current firmware and it works just like any `ol GPSMAP60,eTrex etc. You can send and rename, but it is unnecessary on the OR450.

Interesting. I have had problems using multiple mapsets in a single file on both my Oregon and Nuvi 3790. Others have reported the same issue. Perhaps this has been fixed in the new firmware?

I have used MapSource to send portions of two mapsets to my OR300 as a singtle gmapsupp.img file.  Each is listed in its own enable/disable window.  I do not have the current version of the firmware on the GPSr.  Perhaps this is another instance of a Garmin update creating an issue where there was none before.

It sounds like the OP's problamn is he is not renaming the mapsets or is not combining them.  Will I keep them in seperate img files to make it easier to update, I know the 550 allows multiple mapssets in the same file.
