Just found this site, it looks great.  I have used garmin gps for a long time, since the gps 38 days.  The new gps units are now amazing and don't get messed up by selective availablity don't use a differential reciever and such.  They have maps and lots of stuff that the old ones never had.

Just got a GPSmap 62s and a nuvi 1450.  Love the info on downloading maps and loading maps onto the units.  Use the things in heavy tree cover in mountainous country in British Columbia and the accuracy of the new units is great compared to the bad old days.  Good to have a place to ask questions.
