Title: Railroad ghost tracks
Post by: faarigia on February 14, 2015, 04:45:17 AM
I used railroads from the TIGER files in my New Jersey maps, and they're OK. However, it shows a lot of non-existent tracks that were torn up long ago and are now completely overgrown.

I deleted all the hydro data myself. It was just streams IIRC, and they were not very complete or very accurate when I compared them to NHD.

The closer you get to the data source, the better. The railroad data from my state is more accurate than the railroad data from Tiger.
