Title: Basecamp 4.2.2 does not find newly downloaded maps from GPSFileDepot
Post by: BnBweb on September 25, 2013, 04:36:33 PM
I downloaded California Topo 2011 and Oregon Topo, both had .exe files. Per the tutorial I ran the .exe install file with Basecamp turned off. Both installs created a .TDB file and .TYP file with multiple .img files. When I launched Basecamp and select maps it did not show the any new topo map. It only showed City Navigator and Global map. The install map under maps was greyed out. All of this was using the existing tutorials. I must be doing something wrong or just don't understand it. Can anyone help?

If you are using a 64-bit Windows system, as it mentions on those mapset's webpage "you will need to FIRST install a mapset which used a 32-bit installer, 'My trails ....' http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/maps/view/53 works and is small in size".

Thank you for your help. That was the solution and it is now working. Don't know why I missed the 32 bit install.
