Title: Macinstall not working

I down a file us_p_nw.gmapi from here.  I got it to Mapinstall okay, but the send map button is not activated, so I can't click on it to send the map to my Oregon 450.  It is a brand new device with no maps on it yet except what comes with it out of the box.  I also have a 4GB  SD micro card on it.  I have a Mac with OS 10.6.8 and the latest version of Macinstall, Basecamp, and MapManager downloaded from the Garmin website.  So what am I missing?

Do you mean MapInstall? You need to select some or all of the mapset to have the send button work.
