Title: bicycle mounts you use?
Post by: lawestpar on March 14, 2012, 02:38:52 AM
I have a 62s that I take on my MTB rides. Past experience with Garmin's cable mounts resulted in a lost Colorado. I have modified the Garmin clip.with a.hose clamp.a better solution. RAM has solid mounts no doubt. I use one on my Zumo and it is great. The bike mounts seem to be proprietary junk...Garmin. or RAM's rock solid overkill. I have ordered Rams various cradle adapts for my 62s. The mapping detail from the 62s is great. I just do not want to lose my new toy. SO,What do you use on your bike?

I use the Garmin cradle with a a custom handlebar adapter I whipped up. http://www.gpscity.ca/ram-mount-garmin-approach-g3-dakota-mount-cradle-ram-hol-ga36u.html  Works well.  Oh, and I use a safety cable from the GPS to the bars just to be sure.

RAM.
Yoke Clamp Base with 1" Rubber Ball, RAM-B-121BU
Double-socket arm, RAM-B-201U1
Diamond Base with 1" Ball, RAM-B-238U...
...attached to the back of the cradle for your GPSr
For my 62st, the cradle is the RAM-HOL-GA41U2
