Water Data - Export Shape Files from Postgis Problem

I've been working through the Water Data tutorial (thanks for that) to generate water topos in one area of Wisconsin and everything has gone fairly smoothly until I try to export the Shapefiles from postgis.  Using the DOS command suggested I get a WARNING:  Cannot determine spatial reference (empty table or unknown spatial ref) No prj file will be generated.

It must have problems with the database.  I did not get any indication of problems before this point.

If anyone has any ideas I'd appreciate it.

Thanks

Not getting a .prj file isn't the end of the world.  When you bring it into the next program just know what the datum is.  In many cases its WGS 84 or a specific UTM zone.  It should be in the metadata for whereever you got the water data from.

If you're following the tutorial exactly you should have a .prj file already for the water data.
