i have a nuvi  265wt  an  was hoping there is a way to put  truck settings on    --or just a way to   exclude parkways -- i drive a van but have commercial plates  --

The older Garmin units had a truck preference setting, but a number of people said it was pretty useless. In the current lineup, I think you need the Nuvi 465t if you want to avoid roads which aren't suited for trucks.

actually the old garmin  truck setting was perfect   it  excluded  parkways  (which is ALL i need)  i drive chevy express van  (the same van they do conversions on)  so my weight and height are not an issue --my only issue is i have commercial plates so i must exclude the parkways  --and  thanks  for the advice on buying the 465  But i have already bought  and own a 265wt --iDONT need any other truck related parameters  they will not do anything for me  /// JUST need to EXCLUDE parkways  /////the old 330c was perfect  but all of them  cannot read the old mapping and parameters in the truck setting  --i guess a few trucks followed their GPS without using common sense --so they nixed the old parameters

Sorry, just trying to help. The bottom line is that there isn't any way to do what you want on the 265wt. As you have probably learned already, it's been "dumbed down". You can contact Garmin support but I don't think it will help much unfortunately.
