TNM viewer area download specification question

Is there a way to specify a download area in the National Map Viewer by lat and lon rather than by quad or map extent?  I can't find it, and I'm going to miss the Seamless Server when it's decommissioned.

I must have missed it; when is the Seamless Server supposed to be decommissionned?

I thought I read last year that the Seamless Server and the NHD viewer were going to be replaced by the National Map viewer.  Hope I read that wrong.  I remember some threads here last year about what a pain TNM was.

Now that you mentioned it, I recall that also.
I do not see any mention of that on the Seamless webpage dated Dec 28, 2010.

There's some info here. They call the seamless server a "legacy product" but I don't see a mention that it is going to be discontinued: http://nationalmap.gov/viewers.html
