Colors on my topo map

I just downloaded the Missouri topo to my Garmin legend hcx, and it seems the colors are not the same as before I downloaded it.  Bodies of water are not blue anymore they are black.  If I change the map set up and turn the marine colors off, then the bodies of water are blue.  Is this normal?
