Trying to make map for mapquest from GIS files

I just downloaded the new file from mapcenter.  When i convert it I get no errors! 
This file shows as dotted lines instead of solid lines (this is OK)
But it still shows the actual road, plus another straight (er) line that looks like it was drawn by an engineer.

This will work for me.  Thanks for the help folks.  If not for your knowledge I would still be messing with this.

That's strange, they haven't even compiled the file yet

Anyway, where are you getting the double lines at? The dashed lines are for unpaved roads, if you want something else, you would have to change that. This is where I ended up at:
