Help with loading topo on Garmin 73sv

Hi everyone, new here and looking for help. Trying to load topo maps to my Garmin Echomap 73sv.

I loaded it onto an sd card as per the instructions using base camp, then taking sd to gps unit but gps says files not supported. How can I get the files in sync with my Garmin

I suspect that it isn't compatible with newer marine devices. See this post from Popej.

Not all maps are supported by marine GPS, most free maps compiled for outdoor or car are simply ignored.

Newer devices require Garmin's copyright inside img to accept a map.
