Hi, I have a Colorado 400i and love it.  I use it for the lake profiles and for backpacking.  My problem is that the user manual is a bit thin (in both senses of the word).  I asked Garmin to recommend a good book from which I can learn and understand some of the more advanced features.  I struck out there.  Is there a good book or user manual that is specific to this series of GPS units?  Barring that, is there a general book that would be helpful?  Thank you very much for the opportunity to post this question.

Don't know about a book, but there is a wiki. Unfortunately the link no longer works, but you can access old versions via the "wayback machine" at archive.org. Let's see if this link works, sometimes the forum software doesn't like these archive.org URLS.  ;)

Yep, seems to work. If you aren't familiar with the wayback machine, note the title bar at the top of the screen. This will allow you to view "snapshots" of the website taken on different dates/years.
