Oregon 600 goes haywire
« on: May 27, 2015, 03:09:19 AM »
recently we did a 44 mile trip down the Jack's Fork and Current Rivers in MO.  my Oregon 600 worked fine UNTIL the last day when it rained hard for an hour or so.  then the display went crazy, jumping from screen to screen, and unresponsive to button presses. had to turn it off (at a time I really needed it).  Now it seems to be OK again.  any one else experience such a thing?   It is SUPPOSED to be waterproof.  (I didnt think to open it up when we got off the river as we were busy loading the cars; now it is all dry inside...)

Are you sure it was buttoned up tight?  I've had loose batteries cause problems like that.
