Interstate highways

When I create a route in Garmin base camp I can pick a beginning and end for the route. The software then creates the route.  For some reason it will never choose to use the interstate highway as part of the route.  I do not have the option checked as highways to avoid.  Anyone have an idea as to why it wont choose the interstate highway.

This forum is primarily for the support of maps downloaded from GPSFiledepot. Most of the maps here are not capable of creating routes, they only show your position on the screen.
