New forum member verification email

I just joined, and couldn't get the verification email to work from my gmail in Chrome...I tried the alternate URL in the email as well without success--it kept redirecting back to the basic website.

I tried it in Firefox and it worked fine the first time.  I have no idea why Chrome isn't playing but this might help someone else from losing a couple of hairs in frustration!
