Recently purchased Etrex 20 & want to make bike routes from maps on my SD card. The maps were installed by friend with PC. I have a Mac running version 10.6.8 & can't upgrade or will lose other valuable software. When I go to Basecamp it appears that you must have a newer version in order to copy maps into this program. Is this correct??? Arlene

You do not have to upgrade BaseCamp to add maps. Maybe Garmin Custom Maps if your version of BaseCamp is extremely old but not the regular vector maps.

If you need an older version of Basecamp, they are archived here: http://gawisp.com/perry/macintosh/

But I don't understand what you're trying to do. Do you want to create routes on your Mac and send them to your eTrex? Do you already have the maps you want installed on your Mac? What do you mean by "copy maps into this program"?

I was able to install maps from the Open Street Map site finally. So thanks for your help.
