New Mexico topo won't run on my laptop with Windows 8

Is there a fix for this, or will my laptop not work with any of the maps? This is the first one I have tried.

Do you have BaseCamp installed?  Does it work?

I do have Base Camp. When I downloaded New Mexico Topo from GPS File Depot it would not install on my laptop, with Windows 8. Since I intend to use that laptop for processing data from my GPS, I need to solve the Windows 8 issue.

It's probably me, but I'm having difficulty visualizing the complete picture.

Are you attempting to run the installer and nothing is happening, an error is reported, Norton is popping up and halting the install, ?

Which version of Windows 8 do you have installed?
