Maps 62SC

 I know this has already been covered, but nothing is working for me.
I've been trying to download maps to the 62SC. All indications are that they have downloaded successfully They are listed, and show up in the map selection on the GPS as well as the Garmin drive on my computer, however the maps are not showing on the map page of the GPS. I am getting an error notice of file not recognized when I open Base camp. I just uninstalled the US plan ce maps and re installed. No luck. This happens with or without the SD card installed.  The 100 K topo maps from Garmin are working fine.


I wonder if Garmin has made a change to their IMG file to keep people from downloading third party maps. They all work fine on my Etrex 30.

No, Garmin has not recently changed anything about their *.img map format.

What maps are you having trouble with, and what is the exact step-by-step process you are using to install them and send them to your GPSr?

The curious thing here is that he says the same files work fine on an eTrex 30...

Does this mean they can be selected, but that they aren't viewable?  Are you located in the map area?  If not you'll need to pan to get to them.
