Anyone know of a MAC version of the Coal Creek trails in TN?

You should be able to convert Windows maps for the Mac using this utility: http://www.javawa.nl/mapconverter_en.html

However, it might be problematic if the map you want has the "EZ Install" option. This kind of map runs a .exe installer to place all the individual files on your computer, and you won't be able to run the installer on your Mac.

But if you have access to a Windows computer, you can run the installer there, copy all the files to a USB flash disk, then install them on your Mac.

But wait awhile... exactly what map are you trying to install and what GPS do you have?

Some of the TN trail maps are "Garmin Custom Maps" which are .kmz files. These maps should work on both Macs and PC's. But they are only compatible with the newer model GPS devices.

I have a Garmin Montana 650T.  I am trying to either install the "Windrock / Coal Creek, TN OHV Trails Map" or the "North Cumberland OHV Trails, TN Map".

In that case, you need to find somebody with a Windows machine and follow the procedure I described above. Of course, you could also install Windows on your Mac (I have Win XP installed on my old MacBook Pro) but that is somewhat expensive and complicated.

Since what you need to do is very simple (run the map installer so you can extract the files), I suspect one of the free apps out there might work. Here is one of them: http://mac.appstorm.net/how-to/virtualization/run-windows-apps-on-your-mac-free-with-wine-bottler/

If you don't want to do that, you could try contacting the author of those maps: http://forums.gpsfiledepot.com/index.php?action=profile;u=86

Thanks Boyd!!!  Went to work and downloaded it, brought it home, used map converter and imported them into my collection.  Worked perfectly!!!  Thanks again!
