Help getting maps onto GPS.
« on: May 26, 2012, 05:29:53 AM »
I used mapinstaller to download maps(maybe) on to my mac. I got to the part where I get the maps onto my GPS but my Garmin MapInstall says that I have no maps for my GPS. I'm pretty sure I downloaded at least some kind of map to my computer 'cause it shows in my finder. I downloaded Eastern maps.

Do you have BaseCamp (the map viewer) installed on your Mac?  Can you view the maps with BaseCamp?
What part of this: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/tutorials/how-to-load-maps-on-my-garmin-gps-unit/ did the process fail at?
Have you read this: http://www.gpsfiledepot.com/tutorials/how-to-open-maps-in-garmin-basecamp/
