Upload to Basecamp (Mac) troubles

All-

Im new to this forum and these processes.  I just purchased a Garmin Montana and am enjoying getting to know it and use it.  I have a few upcoming adventures this year that I am excited about, and I'm trying to become comfortable with this thing before I really have to use it.

I am wanting to load several maps to Basecamp to build some routes and tracks for an upcoming snow shoeing trip.  I am having trouble loading the CO transparent topo maps and Mytrails maps... or anything for that matter... from this site.

The files seem to download just fine to my computer.  They seem to unzip correctly and I see the gmapi file.  I double click and Map manager says there are no compatible maps.  I try to import directly into Basecamp and still no luck.  I know I must be doing something stupidly wrong, but can't figure it out. 

Any pointers for a newb?  I would appreciate it.

FYI...
Basecamp is up to date
Basecamp has been reinstalled to try to resolve the issue

What do you know... I figured it out all by my self, kind of.

I uninstalled and reinstalled all appropriate Garmin software, and it now works.  Sweet.
