being a newbie here....
i down loaded a file for "Canada Topo Map"...
it came as a "Zip File"
my question ...
what program would i use to open a "zip file"?

Boyd

No new program should be required. On Windows, right-click the file and choose "extract all". On the Mac, just double-click the file. Or if you like you could download 7-zip which is a free open source program with even more capabilities. http://www.7-zip.org/

the topo canada map i thought i down loaded....
keeps telling me it is "invalided" ...
it is a "compressed zip file"...
for the life of me my 64 bit windows 7 computer will not allow to open the zip file  to transfer to my gps...
any ideas???

Seldom

Please post the link you are downloading from.  The only Canada Topo I can see at GPSfiledepot is hosted from another site.

Use 7-zip to unzip it, if that doesn't work you have a bad download and should re-download
