Question using "Where to" function on Oregon 450

Hello again!  I hate to be such a newb but when I try to use the "Where to" function then go to "a dresses" it prompts me to enter the state or province.  When I enter Virginia or VA and then hit the check button it says "No results found" and hence I can't get any further to attempt to enter an address.  I currently have some OSM maps loaded which include VA, MD, DC,etc on the unit and are apparently routeable but only to certain preloaded categories such as shopping, food and drink, etc.  What am I doing wrong?  Thanks again for your time!

You did not buy a Garmin product.  
No one outside Garmin has figured out the necessary coding to do this.

I see....   another lesson in "you get what you pay for!!"  Well, at least it wasn't user error!!!
