Hello all,
I have a Nuvi 500. I know it isn't a true off road gps. But it is waterproof and I use it on my motorcycle.
I ride a duel purpose for hunting. My question is....is there any good maps that shows forest service and state roads in Northwest Wa. Elevation isn't really a issue. (if im going up im getting higher LOL)
Would the Nuvi 550 be better because it doesn't come loaded with topo?
I have been lurking trying to learn GPS but it is confusing at best. I do have MapSource and BaseCamp.
I do alot of group rides off road and want to be able to see where a road leads to, Or how long it is. and connecting roads.

              thanks,
                        Brad

Try the WA topo.  Or US Planimetric North West if you do not want contours lines.
Then add the Northwest trails; or perhaps the Trails from OSM files.  Both are overlay/transparent.
