Hiking Trails
« on: December 21, 2008, 11:36:46 AM »
I have been able to find some hiking trails available as tracks for the garmin units, such as the AT and BMT. I suppose these were collected by actual hiking of the trails. Any ideas on how to imbed these tracks or routes into a topo map? We have a vast network of trails in the four states around me and I would love to include them in my map.

Download the trails and then you can open them all up and type them as trail (0x16 or 0x0016).  Then just make sure you add them all when you compile the map.

If you have more detailed questions let me know.
