Obtaining older version of Basecamp

I've been trying to locate a version of Basecamp that will run on XP SP2. Garmin tells me that those versions are no longer available and that SP3 is required for their current version. Net 3.5 isn't a problem, I already have that installed; I just don't want to mess up a perfectly good system by installing another Microsoft update.

Does anyone know of a source for an SP2 compatible version of Basecamp?

Thanks....

Well, that software carries Garmin's copyright and only they are the one's that that legitimately distributive it. You can always contact the developer's directly on Garmin's forum, I would bet they have legitimate copies of legacy versions.

I am not sure why I cannot reply to this topic so I am starting another one.

You do NOT want to use an earlier version of BaseCamp-it was the worst program I ever used.  It was a nightmare and caused all kinds of problems.  These problems are corrected on the newer versions.
