Can you just use the elevation data and make a "topo" only type map?

Thanks

What exactly do you type when using the cmd prompt input mode.

For example in the tutorial if it says to use the following command:

1. Areas - pgsql2shp - f "C:\ xxxx \nhd\Area.shp" -u postgres nhd_area

Do you type the quotes "s too or not.

I must be computer illiterate; i downloaded your new program and it asks where to find files and I don't know where to tell it to look? Seems like th FW Tools, PastGis, and cGPSMapper are not there.

General Discussion / Is US TOPO Better????
January 27, 2009, 05:47:07 AM
I'm about a third of the way through trying to build a map of louisiana topo using the tutorial here but it's taking forever to download etc.

The US TOPO is available for $ 89 and I'm wondering if its better than the "homebrew" version here or should I just shell out the money and save all the hassles.??

Thanks
