just copy the file directly to the sd card not using the map installer?  if that is right I will give that a shot

I am trying to download the michigan topo map from this site using the mac map installer the garmin support says it is because it is not there software but on the site it says it is for garmin?  sny other suggestions

I like the unit but I don't know if there is an option that I will miss by not having it or not like the electronic compass

I am using the installer from the garmin site and everything works fine until i send it to the device then it tells me the device is not plugged in.  I turn it on before I start and it finds the device but won't let me load. I am using a mac

I purchased the oregon 200 at bass pro for $229 and it appears to be a good little unit, this is my first GPS and I don,t know if this is a good unit or not.  I was deciding between this unit and the 60csx.  could you pros out there give me some pros and cons or if the 200 is a good unit?  I will mostly be using for the lake maps for ice fishing.  Thanks
