General Discussion / Garmin 450: Route vs. track
November 15, 2010, 08:00:46 PM
Trying to map hunting land.  Have created several tracks, unidirectional of course, and would like to be able to create a "route" or "track" to get from camp to individual deer stands.  Using Basecamp, I am confused as to whether to build a route, filtered route, or track.  I would love to be able to combine all of my tracks as nothing but hundreds of waypoints so that I could pick any path to go from A to B or from A to C, etc.  I don't know if my verbiage is correct or if I am asking the impossible!  I don't understand the differences between route, filtered route, and track.  I've read the help and, well, not too much help.....HELP!

General Discussion / "Route Calculation Error:"
October 11, 2010, 01:18:00 PM
Appears my Oregon 450, with NE topo and MN topo loaded, won't go anywhere.  I get above message along with "Maps do not have routable roads in this area." for all "Where to" waypoint entries.  My maps were downloaded from this site and seem to be very accurate.  New to gps nav and would love to get some answers!

I'm new to all of this.....Downloaded a couple of maps from this site.  They both came with an installer.  During install the default is program files/map name.  I elected to install in Garmin file instead.  Started Basecamp and did not see new maps.  Tried to import but nothing happens.  Help?
