One of the maps I have been working with is Montana State on the gspfiledepot website.
Every time that I tried to unzip the file I would get errors. Looking back thru the forums,
a poster had the same problem last July. I had to eventually go to the Montana website itself (gpsmapsmontana.com) to get the file which unzipped just fine.

I went thru the process of downloading 10 maps to create 1 gmapsupp file.
When I put it into my etrex 20, and  try to select a map, I'm seeing (displayed) only 2
of the map names. I enabled both. I tried viewing some tracks in states other than
the states that were  displayed, and the map data for those states displayed OK. I thought  all the states on the gmapsupp file would display. And if only one displays because it is a single gmapsupp file, why am I seeing 2 map names that can be enabled/disabled?
Is that just the way it works???   Thanks!

General Discussion / Basecamp Maps missing
January 30, 2020, 09:33:48 AM
All my maps that I had in Basecamp are gone except for 1.    Any suggestions
on what I should do to get them back.  Is map data stored in the backups? Thanks

There are newer versions of maps available. To install the newer versions, what do I have to do? Do I have to delete all data from the old maps. Do I have to do any cleanup in Basecamp to get rid of the old maps, or just install the new maps?  Thanks!

I recently went from a etrex hcx to etrex20. I was having probs uploading tracks to the computer via Mapsource. Contacted Garmin - they told me it was Mapsource, and that I had to switch to Basecamp. Installed Basecamp - now I'm trying to "import" all my old tracks that I have saved on my computer. All my saved tracks are of the format "yyyy-mm-dd-track name.gdb".  When I do the import into a "new list" with Basecamp, each track that is imported carries a name of "dd-mmm-yy", eg 04-NOV-12.  The description part of the old track name is being dropped and the date format is not good for keeping a chronological list. Is there anyway to keep the track name and change the date format, without copying one at a time, then renaming the imported track to the name format that I want?  Thanks

I've been having a problem with the Nevada topo - the segment L7 wasn't displaying on my etrex20. I created a card with only the Nevada topo on it - everything is fine. When I create a card with another state (Arizona in this case) and Nevada, the segment does not display. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I would like to reinstall some maps that I currently have in Mapsource and on my GPS.
How do I cleanly uninstall/delete the maps from Mapsource, then clean-up any files that I may have created on my computer, before I again download the maps and reinstall them?
Thank you

When I Use JaVaWa, it identifies 2 maps that have errors that can not be repaired. Co and Wy
have overlapping map segments with Utah. Any suggestions on how to deal with this? Does it mean that I just can not have a mapset that includes the 3 maps - ie, separate mapsets for Utah vs Co & Wy. Thank you!

I reinstalled Mapsource on a new computer. Also migrated all tracks, waypoints, etc. which I can pull into Mapsource. I also copied over all map data that was on my old computer. However, I am not able to see any of the topo maps that I copied over and that was on the old Mapsource. Can anyone explain what I have to do to make the maps appear in the new Mapsource.  Thanks!!
