Do these oregons use the same maps and visual dsiplay as a car sat nav?

Can you get any UK maps for the auto routing for use with caravan towing?

Is me or am I thick?

I have a load of coordintes for a route C2C uk, which I want to enter onto my oregon 450. I cant fathom out how to do it using base camp or direct to the unit. Can it be done firstly and if so how, if not then whats the point in gps?

Just got this for xmas and need to put a lot of wayward points on it for the coast to coast walk uk. Can you add direct to the unit or do you have to add via basecamp software? The instructions are less than helpful.

Hoping to get a Oregon 450 tomorrow. Not supplied with batteries. Which ones are best to use at what power?

Do they recharge in the unit or do you have to take them out and use a seperate charger?

What about the non rechargeable ones? What should I get to use on the trail where I have no access to recharge ?

Hi folks Im new to gps units and have looked at various ones and am drawn to the oregon 450. Before I buy one I would like to know of any map license issues. I have a friend with a garmin edge and rather than us both buying the exact same maps is it possible to use the sd card with maps from one unit on another, can maps be copied on to an sd card for use with any unit, can you only use garmin maps or can you use memory maps on the 450. cheers plod1
