GPSr Units / Re: storage of routes/tracks on Etrex 20

It is a Garmin pre loaded topo sd. I thought it might be a bad idea, but it is listed as User Data in the sd card tree on Basecampl

GPSr Units / storage of routes/tracks on Etrex 20
September 14, 2012, 09:18:14 AM
When I'm using Basecamp, I have a Garmin 24k topo sd inserted in my Etrex 20. In Basecamp it shows: (F) the etrex 20 unit and (G) the topo card. Under (F) there is internal storage and under (G) there is user data. Question: Is it better to have the routes and tracks stored on the internal (F), or under user data on the card (G)? I understand if it's in internal storage it can be used with any sd card inserted. Just wondering if there's a preference/faster? I think this is new on this latest version of Basecamp.

Using The Maps/Garmin Software / CityNav Night Mode
September 07, 2012, 07:49:29 PM
I see the CityNav Night Mode Map works with the Oregon/Colorado/Dakota. Does anyone know if it works on the Etrex 20? Just wondering.

Thx

Thanks! Will lock on road on "yes" follow the trail whereby "no" won't follow it?

GPSr Units / Routable settings in Etrex 20
May 08, 2012, 07:39:38 AM
I have an Etrex 20 with 24k routable maps from Garmin. What should the settings be in the Garmin to enable trail routes that show routable routes on the unit. I'm referring to the Route Settings e.g. in Guidance Method (On Road for time vs. Off Road) and in the Lock on Road (yes or no). I've heard different things when referring to hiking settings. I have it in Recreational Profile.
