Title: google maps for gps

I am still new at all you can do with your gps. I was wondering if there was a way you could use google maps on a garmin gps. I just bought a garmin gpsmap 76cx. All help will be apperaciated.

Unfortunately you should have gotten either an Oregon, Dakota or Colorado since those models can use two different forms of raster imagery (pictures). There are "custom maps" which you make yourself: http://www.garmin.com/garmin/cms/site/us/onthetrail/custommaps

But the 76cx is an older model which can't do either of these I'm afraid. You could have a look at MOAGU and Mapwel though. They are hacks with some significant limitations, but might suit your needs:
