Title: How do I view the map I made with mapsource?
Post by: hmoyer020546 on August 18, 2009, 08:40:05 PM
I have followed the GPSFileDepot tutorial instructions at "How To Load Maps On My Garmin GPS Unit", and they "appear" to have uploaded properly to my Garmin Nuvi 260W. But when I try to access the maps on my GPS device by going to Tools, Settings, Map, Map Info, I see the names of the maps I created using MapSource, and they have check marks next to the names. All I can do, however, is to delete the checkmarks or make them reappear. How do I get to actually see the maps ?

Thanks,
Herb Moyer

You can try to disable the City Navigator maps that may be covering your maps depending on what bit/zoom  level you defined when making your maps.

The check marks next to the names you mentioned in your first post, uncheck the City Nav map to disable it, then check the mappage to view your map. When you want to re-enable it, go back and add the checkmark.
