Title: Downloading maps to a Mac

Anyone been able to download and use maps on a Mac. I would like to be able to view and plan trips.

Pretty much everyone has been able to download maps on the Mac. :) Choose the map you want and just click the download link for the Mac version.

It's downloading as a folder. Doesn't have an install command. Are there specific instructions anywhere.

When you see a folder instead of a map file, that means Garmin MapManager has not been installed on your computer. Download and install Basecamp

https://www.garmin.com/en-US/software/basecamp/

It should install three programs

Garmin Basecamp
Garmin MapInstall
Garmin MapManager

Confirm that these are in your Applications folder. After they are installed, that "folder" should change into a "file". When you double-click it, MapManager should open and ask if you want to install the map. Then see these tutorials (unfortunately, I think they're a bit out of date however)
