Is there any way to have the towns displayed on Mapsource and my 60csx? I can search for then as POIs and select them and they get highlighted but they won't stay displayed.

I do not think there is. The names displayed were kept to a minimun to avoid clutter so the contour lines, hydro, and point symbols would be easier to see. Perhaps something to consider changing this winter when updated road data is expected to be available.
