Title: Basecamp 462 won't install.
Post by: ChuckTin on November 22, 2016, 03:43:13 PM
Looking for some help. New laptop (early Xmas present) has Windows 8.1 (ugh) with the "Metro" GUI (ugh x2). Trying to install Basecamp. The download package is 462 and it hiccups on the .net install.
Am I selecting the wrong package? The description says it's good for Vista thru current Windows versions.
Something is not right.

Doesn't BaseCamp try to install required .net version by itself? I'm not sure.
You can extract install exe like a zip archive and then run *.msi file, this should bypass most useless checks, like for Media Player.
