Title: Trackback question

Can someone please explain to me how to use the trackback feature on my Garmin vista HCX?Id like to be able to follow my exact path back to my starting point.Does it show a trail on your map that you can follow back out?Thanks for any help.

Yes, it'll leave a trail of "breadcrumbs" and then follow that back.

Thanks oz,do you know the steps I need to take to impement this function?I cannot make sense of it in the manual.Does the unit need to stay on as you walk in order for the trackback to work?I'm a newbe in this GPS game.

yes, the unit needs to be on.  I don't have a HCx so I can't give exact directions but on the 60csx on the tracks setup page is the button I can click to trackback.
