Title: remove bold drainage lines in cotopo11?
Post by: Writhdar on April 01, 2015, 12:15:15 PM
Both uttopo11 and cotopo11 show very bold blue dashed lines for almost all drainages, gullies, etc.  Is there any way to remove this?  It strongly detracts from the map's utility.

I see this when looking at the maps on Mapsource on my PC.  I have not downloaded them to a microSD chip on my Garmin GPSMAP 60Cx .  I presently have AboveTheTimber Colo 24K Topos (for Colorado) and Utah topo on the SD chip.

Thank you

I see that too; about twice the width of perennial streams and contour lines.  Looks as it should on my OR300 for which the mapset was designed.

When we started making 3rd party 'custom' maps, MapSource was simply a tool for transferring the selected map segments to a GPS unit; later it seems MS and BaseCamp are an end in themselves.

How do they look on your 60Cx?

I have not loaded them onto my 60Cx as I find the loading process to be tricky.  So, I'm reluctant to experiment.

I guess the question is whether this is just an artifact of MapSource and whether the bold lines will no longer be bold on the 60Cx screen.
