Hard to make any recommendation without a lot more info from you. Do you want the GPS to display maps on the screen? Satellite imagery? Where are you located? Price range? How large or small? Do you want it to have a compass and altimeter? Do you want pushbuttons or a touchscreen?

The maps on this site only work on Garmin devices. A couple attractively priced models would be the Garmin eTrex 20 (about $150 street price) and the Oregon 450 (discontinued, but refurbs available with full warranty from Garmin's eBay store for $200).

The eTrex 20 has buttons is is very small. It does not have a compass or altimeter. The Oregon 450 has has a touchscreen, compass and altimeter. Both devices are compatible with the maps here as well as satellite imagery from Garmin Birdseye.

If you don't want the unit to show maps on the screen, you could look at the eTrex 10. It will show where you have been, but not map. Street price is closer to $100.
