Title: GPS does not support map transfer?
Post by: turkeyneck on July 17, 2014, 03:41:35 PM
I have a 60CSx Garmin and have been trying to install the Arizona Topo map with no success. Each time I try to install using map installer, it gives me an error message saying "GPS does not support map transfer" I have tried taking the microSD chip out and reformatting the microSD chip to no avail.

Any other suggestions? I'd really like to be able to see a map on my garmin gps.

Thanks!

My 60CSX takes maps from this site, no problem.

Please post a link to the map you are trying to load.

What map software are you using? What OS? How big is the microSD card? IIRC 4GB is the maximum size a 60CSX can handle.  How big is the section you are trying to transfer?

You realize that a 60CSX will only support a single file named gmapsupp.img, but that file can contain multiple maps?

Do you have the GPS in mass transfer mode?
