Title: Getting maps for a trip to Iceland
Post by: papatooth on January 18, 2014, 02:54:21 PM
Hi I have a GPSmap 60CSx and I'm looking for maps of Iceland that are compatible with it. I did download a KMZ file world map from this site but I'm having a tough time trying to get it to work with Mapsouce. While I'll had this GPS for a while I've only really scratched its surface and could use some guidance on how to load the world map. Thanks for helping me.

KMZ maps will not work with a 60CSX or MapSource. You need IMG vector maps.  I don't see any on GPSfileDepot.  You may want to try garmin.openstreetmap.nl for road and or trail maps.  They are routable.   I'm not sure if there are any topos of Iceland available.
