How can I use my dakota as a gps receiver on my laptop in nRoute.
This topic has come up elsewhere and I remember looking into it myself. Sorry to say... you can't. That is a feature they left off the Dakota series. The Oregon, Montana and GPSMap series all can do it. I think the new eTrexes are also missing the data output feature.
The good news is that you can get a USB receiver for about $35, maybe even less, and it will be a better choice for laptop use anyway.
