Title: Can roads on AZ topo be renamed?
Post by: allen10 on August 29, 2011, 06:23:04 AM
Some of the unpaved roads on the AZ topo are named "Road" is there any easy way to change the  "Road" label to the correct name. The roads are located on the Barry Goldwater range in az.

Thanks in advance

The road names are compiled into the map and can only be modified by changing the source file that was used to create the map. Therefore only the author can change them. Even if it were possible, it is generally the policy of this site not to modify somebody else's creative work. So the best procedure would probably to to contact the map author and inform them of the problem.

If the Tiger data didn't include the unpaved road names then they were labeled as "Road"
