Title: gnis process
Post by: Tsnake on January 16, 2009, 06:23:23 PM
When I try to run gnis process, I click the All at once, and I get a Run Time Error '70' Permission denied.

Any thoughts?

Are you running on vista?  If so, start as administrator.  If not, what is your OS?

I am running vista.  How do I start as an administrator?

Right click on the file, and you should see a "Run as administrator" option.  It will probably trigger a confirmation box or 2.  The other possibility if that doesn't fix it, is that a read/write block is on one of the files it needs.  If that is the case, you can either try to find what is using the files and kill it, or probably easier is to just restart the computer.

Also, make sure you download the newest version released today.  When I fixed topo process I forgot to fix gnis process.

The USGS changed the name convention... again.
