hi.. thanks for the quick reply..now i am getting a message that my photos are not geocoding... i think i am having trouble with the UTC offset... i live in PA andhave the offset set at 5... did i do that right??? thanks again, Joe
60csx.. saved to data card...looks like my utc offset is -05, does that sound right for PA?? thanks, Joe
hi.. all of the tracks and photos were taken today...mainly for experimental purposes...i am pretty sure the gps and camera clocks are close.. even though the camera only shows military time...Joe
i changed the utc offset to -4... and did everything else you reccommended...it worked!!! thank you very much for your patience and help...Joe
So, I have to use the raw track data with the time stamps? And I have to have a track point where the picture was taken? And a waypoint?
I am wondering if I can use the raw track data, a waypoint that I create in Mapsource, and any old picture I like to and then have it show up in GE.
OR, do I H....A.....V.....E.... to follow the instructions and have the camera synced to the GPS
How much more fun can I have with this 60CSX!!!
Mike
MichaelJ, The point of syncing raw track data is to coordinate times. You wouldn't have a valid time setting on a track you CREATED in MapSource.
With Geosetter you can tag to waypoints. No time stamp required. I use it with a film camera and waypoints I manually record in the field.
Thanks, Seldom_sn (catchy name. I like it.)
Ok, I'll get that program you suggested. Thanks again for the help!
Mike
You from Utah? You read any Edward Abbey?
Naw. Michigander.
Wow! That program is a fun bunch of screens. Will probably take me a year to figure it out. Hell, I just figured out how to get certain maps into my GPSr!
Thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.
