Title: MapSource Problem.
Post by: rplowden on January 28, 2010, 09:26:08 PM
I had downloaded the Ibycus Canadian Topo, but no longer needed it so I deleted it.  But now whenever I go to open Mapsource it says "There is a problem with the Ibycstop installation; Please reinstall Ibycstop and start Mapsource again."  Anyone seen this?  Do I really have to reinstall the Ibycus topo?  I already uninstalled and reinstalled Mapsource and it didn't fix it.  And I can't find any left over Ibycus files to clean off.  Please help!

See what MapSetToolKit says.  You need to uninstall mapsets; by simply deleting the files you probably left some 'hooks' in the Windows registry.

Yes, you need to download Mapsettoolkit and try to delete ibycus. You will see a box listing all of your installed mapsets, and you would select ibycus and delete it.

However, I've also run into this problem when messing around with my own maps. If mapsettoolkit doesn't fix, you may indeed have to reinstall ibycus, then remove it using add/remove programs.
